nanoScan PET/CT

Preclinical PET/CT in vivo imagerModern labs require imaging research tools that are efficient, quantitative, and flexible to address an array of workflows, animal models, and applications. The integrated nanoScan PET/CT platform is the industry-leading PET/CT imaging technology satisfying the most rigorous requirements.

  • Efficiency: The nanoScan precisely integrates high-end PET and CT subsystems with a common workstation and animal support. Don’t settle for the inferior workflow and performance of inserted or clip-on PET subsystems.
  • Quantification: The nanoScan has true PET ring architecture with a large LYSO detector (large FOV) and ultra-small, tightly packed detector elements. Don’t settle for the application limitations and imaging trade-offs of using high-energy collimated SPECT or continuous scintillators.
  • Flexibility: With a large bore (16 cm) and TFOV (12 cm), the nanoScan PET/CT offers mouse to rabbit imaging and support. The large, open bore enables free access to the animal from the front and back for dynamic scans. Don’t settle for systems with a limiting, small FOV and closed bores.

PET Performance

  • Resolution: 0.7 mm Spatial Resolution (Nagy et al)
    • Uniform resolution over the entire field of view
    • On-the-fly detector modeling, up to 7 estimations and corrections, Monte Carlo DOI
    • Accurate signal identification and best quantification accuracy (>97%) for all applications

Bone imaging in Mouse

  • Sensitivity: 8.4% Absolute Sensitivity 250-750 keV (Nagy et al)
    • Best minimal detectable activity
    • Most quantitative accuracy for low activity scans ie cell tracking with Zr89
    • Decrease scan times for higher throughput without compromise

Simultaneous imaging of 4 mouse, 0.5mCi in each mouse

  • Count Rate Tolerance: NEC Rate – 850 kcps @ 60 MBq (1.62 mCi)
    • Highest NEC rate for all preclinical scanners (published)
    • Confident results for scanning with short half-life isotopes i.e. C11, O15
    • Same acquisition protocol for single and multi-mouse scans
