Upgrades
Mediso offers flexible solutions. Basic systems can be seamlessly upgraded on-site; either by installing a complete subsystem (CT, PET, SPECT, or even MRI) or by adding additional detectors or new functionality to the system.
For people who strive to be on the cutting edge, several possibilities are offered for keeping pace with the latest developments to maximize performance and output. We offer continuous upgrade paths for user of the existing NanoSPECT/CT® and NanoPET™/CT. The details about the unique opportunities can be found below.
Silver Upgrade for small animal SPECT/CT systems
Hardware upgrades include a new dual monitor acquisition workstation with user friendly, ergonomic interfaces and peripherals, allowing remote control and acquisition. Precision of movements is improved and overall computation power has been increased. Real-time GPU CT reconstruction has become available with optimized CT calibration and reconstruction algorithms for better image quality. Safety and stability of operation is improved and the package now includes a 12 TB fault tolerant RAID5 archiving workstation.
An additional benefit of the Silver Upgrade Package is that it includes future software upgrades that allow the user to receive the latest developments in acquisition, reconstruction and post-processing software.

Silver Upgrade for small animal PET/CT systems
Hardware upgrade includes new high-end external workstations with liquid cooling that operate with significantly lower noise level. Also, the package includes a 12 TB fault tolerant RAID5 archiving workstation. A total of four workstations will replace the existing ones, including a workstation for independent post-reconstruction functions.
Software upgrades include improved corrections in PET reconstruction by Tera-Tomo™ 3D PET reconstruction software that result in higher spatial resolution, better homogeneity over the FOV and better RC values, while bringing the resolution close to its physical limit . The upgrade also includes improved precision of movements, higher computation capacity and real-time GPU CT reconstruction with improved, optimized CT calibration and reconstruction algorithms for better image quality.
As with the SPECT/CT, the Silver Upgrade Package for PET/CT includes software upgrades that allows the user to receive the latest developments in acquisition, reconstruction and post-processing software.
